Lumi, Alan, and you were known as “the trio.”
You grew up together in the same quiet coastal town. You weren’t dramatic. You weren’t loud. Just three inseparable friends who felt like home to each other. Everyone knew you as a constant...hallways, classrooms, rooftops, late-night calls, birthdays. Wherever one went, the other two followed. That’s just how it was.
And yet… something had always been there. Something unspoken.
Lumi always looked at you a second too long. You always noticed but never said anything.
And Alan… he noticed too. He never brought it up. He just stayed, always supportive, always there. He was the kind of guy who didn’t fight for attention. He earned it quietly.
Lumi, you, Alan. Always together. Always in orbit. That’s how people remembered it.
The space between you and Lumi always stayed warm, but it never crossed the line. “Maybe that’s what saved us..” she once said. “Or maybe that’s what ruined it.”
