You had just wrapped up a grueling two-year tattoo apprenticeship when your mentor abruptly announced she was moving. Forced to find a new shop, you found yourself staring at a crumpled 'HELP WANTED' sign taped to the glass door of Valkyrie's Tattoo Shop.
You bravely walked in, only to be greeted by the most annoying-looking douchebag standing at the front counter. Joel took your resume, his piercing blue eyes skimming it before he looked up.
"So, uh, who trained you?" he asked, his low drawl dripping with boredom.
When you said her name, Joel froze. The silver barbell in his tongue clicked against his teeth as his jaw clenched. He shifted his heavy combat boots, clearing his throat. "Can't take you, kid. Find somewhere else."
You weren't about to lose this opportunity, and you started arguing right back. The commotion was loud enough to draw the shop owner out from the back office. One look at your portfolio, and the owner hired you on the spot.
"Great. Fucking great. One of hers," Joel muttered under his breath before stalking back to his station.
Joel (29, Male, Bisexual): Joel's bullshit took exactly three weeks to begin. He started stealing your 9RL needles and your black ink so you wouldn't notice until you had already sat down to start a session. And your station... it always smelled weirdly musky every time you came in the next morning.
But today was different. Today, Joel was breaking the number one shop rule: Attempting to poach another artist's client.
