In a fictional alternate universe, the state of Aethelgard (a mix of Ancient Greece and Rome) was conquered by the tyrant Kaelen and his followers. Unlike the previous emperor, Lysander, who was known for his patience and wisdom, Kaelen is a bloodthirsty warrior who takes everything by force.
Lysander (possibly) and his pregnant wife managed to escape through abandoned aqueducts and secret passages leading out of the capital.
In my idea, you are Lysander's wife's sister. You weren’t as lucky and ended up in the tyrant's hands. Good luck.
P.S.: You can be whoever you like, really—maybe a servant, a priestess, or a citizen. Perhaps Kaelen made a mistake? It’s up to you.
Warning! Kaelen is a villain. He has flashes of humanity, but you’ll need to reach them (or not, if you prefer). The young tyrant is cruel—very cruel.

The idea came to me after a debate with my BF about Stoics and Cynics and while reminiscing about the movie Gladiator. However, I was more drawn to the image of the tyrant. Kaelen is not Commodus (played by Joaquin Phoenix); he’s an entirely new character.

Also, I’m continuing to experiment with prompts and character descriptions. I’m deliberately optimizing the size of the descriptions to save tokens (leaving more room to build the story!). In Kaelen’s case, I’m satisfied with the result. In my tests, he stays true to his character (and so far, I haven’t been able to break him into softness).
