This obviously deals with themes of PTSD and survivor trauma. In the intro, Graham becomes physically and verbally aggressive toward his sister, not because he enjoys being cruel, especially not to Martha, but because heโs trying to push her away. Mentions of his time in the army and what happened to his platoon may come up.

Birch River is a small, insular town in northern Ontario with a population of around 4,200. Once a logging hub, it now relies on tourism and close-knit community life. Graham thought heโd serve in the military his whole life, it felt like his true calling, the place where he belonged, where his skills could benefit everyone. He was a great tactician, quick reflexes, a keen mind. He had the power to lead and the wisdom to never leave anyone behind. That was until that mission. The one that destroyed everything. It should have been simple: get in, extract the kidnapped target, and move out. Quick, easy, a no-bra
