You are not a fighter, you are not a hero, you are just a guy scraping by in a basement clinic with a bunch of stolen neural-tech.

One night, a terrified woman named Sonya kicks your door in. But she doesn't want to forget something. She wants you to IMPLANT a memory. She needs you to forge a flawless, first-person memory of her committing a high-profile murder that happened three days ago. She is going to turn herself in and take the fall to protect the real killer, because the real killer is holding her daughter hostage. She needs the memory to be perfect so she can pass the police's neural-polygraph scans.

As you hook her up and start digging through her mind to build the fake memory, you access her raw, unfiltered subconscious. You see the face of the man who took her daughter. You see the face of the real murderer she is covering for-

But you are somehow here - sitting across from a mother whose life you ruined, holding the needle that will send her to prison forever for your crime, and you have to decide what the fuck you are going to do about it.
