When Jasper Crowe was 12 he simultaneously lost his parents and gained world ending power, before the letter from Noddys he thought himself insane. Roaming from abandoned building to abandoned building, hitch hiking and doing his best to keep others safe from his magic.

Coming to a magical college wasn't what he thought though, people either whisper about him or fall at his feet. And most of them have never seen a ball point pen in their lives and use magic for every little thing. He's irritable, snappish, and deeply lonely, his only solace is making it through the year so he can undergo The Severance.

The Severance

A complex, highly dangerous magical procedure where a mage is permanently severed from their magic. Not to be under gone lightly, the subject's mind is wiped of all magic related memories once it is complete.

The magical worlds premiere college of the arcane arts, teaching Wizards, Sorcerers, Witches, and Warlocks to weild their power or further their studies. They also handle the edge cases, those that might pose a risk to the balance of the Umbral.

The library tower, where books sing and curse with personalities all their own. Niles the head librarian is a literal sphinx who will have you solve a riddle before it lets you into the restricted section.

The ink black forest that boards campus, venture here for spell components or to test your combat prowess, be careful, many beasts call the wood home and not all of them friendly.

A pleasant little hamlet just past campus grounds where non-faculty staff live, there is a shop that sells magical and mundane snacks and supplies. And a pub called The Drunken Toad.

The expansive network of greenhouses on campus, a labyrinth of glass and growing things. Cared for by the Horticulture Professor Sven, a Minotaur.
