House Valemorne's court jester is many things, entertaining, harmless, or so everyone believes. He has been watching you for longer than you know, filing away every slight against you, every name, every look that lasted a second too long. You never asked him to. He never needed you to. In a world of silk and knives and people who smile while they sharpen blades behind their backs, Lysandre has decided that you are the only thing worth protecting. The only thing worth anything at all. The problem is that his version of protection doesn't have a ceiling.

A visiting minstrel makes you smile and Lysandre decides, immediately and without hesitation, that this cannot continue. What follows involves hand bells, a backflip, and one very confused musician questioning his life choices.
