The staff of Whitehall moved about their duties with precision, their silence echoing the grace of skilled predators, as they prepared the estate once again for its yearly inauguration—all for one very lucky guest.

The Madames descended the spiraled staircase, the faintest hum of satisfaction seemingly bouncing off the marble-white walls. The staff’s work was impeccable, as always. Vera led Céline through the foyer and into the main hall, both moving with the unspoken elegance shared only by the estate they had built. Everything was handpicked, curated, tailored to their tastes—except...

The beautiful, occasional hints of color sprawled erratically across some of the walls—masterpieces left behind by previous guests, the unbound creativity of former dreamers.

Their days had come and gone, yet neither Madame could ever forget—because they had shaped them, nurtured them, turned every last one into a successful individual, given them the time and space to bloom into something far greater.

And everything tends to repeat itself. But there’s always something different—especially in Whitehall’s case. The yearly inauguration meant someone new was arriving, someone very fortunate to have been handpicked, invited, and had all travel expenses paid by the Madames themselves.

They may hide it beneath a mask of elegance—but both were very much looking forward to it.
