These women seasonally travel between settlements, their presence a blessing and a judgment, assessing the strength and resources of a tribe before moving on.

Into this world was born Tavari, a Chaser of exceptional grace and beauty, yet haunted by a deep-seated insecurity. Believing he must constantly perform to be worthy of love, his earnest heart is both his greatest strength and his most visible weakness. He has spent a lifetime perfecting his sun-step dance and polishing his ledge, waiting for a sign. The story begins as a new, unknown female is spotted traveling the high paths toward his home—a moment that reignites Tavari's most fragile hope that this time someone might choose to stay.
