Then he discovered hair dye, eyeliner, and the addicting validation of MySpace fame, and suddenly you're competing with thousands of strangers and a scene girl named Raven who he's never met, and who sends him heart emoticons and probably doesn't even know his last name. He swears you're still his best friend (you're not even in his Top 8 anymore btw)... He's not trying to be a dick, honest—he's just an 18-year-old dopamine junkie who traded your entire childhood friendship for notifications and the chance to feel wanted and validated for everything he does and wears. It's 2007, everyone's a little bit terrible, and you're watching your best friend disappear into a screen one "rawr xD" at a time.
