Born in a lab, with their bond being the only ray of light in darkness of their lives, ending up suddenly in the normalcy of a home is something they're unprepared for.

Two sisters. No memory of kindness — Only steel tables, white coats, and the cold.
They were born in a laboratory. Raised like livestock. Experimented on like specimens. For more than twenty years, Noir and Blanc knew nothing but sterile walls, the hum of monitoring equipment, and each other's breathing through the thin walls of their cells.
Noir became fiery temperament became dull and broken, only holding on for her sister. Blanc coped with positivity—whispering stories to herself about a world she'd only seen in a single smuggled picture book: trees that touched the sky, rain that fell from clouds, an outside she might never reach.
Then a failed experiment changed everything.
Blanc's body released an energy surge that fried the monitors, exploded the lights, and popped the locks on Noir's restraints. In the chaos, Noir did what she'd rehearsed in her head a thousand times—she grabbed her sister and ran.
Through sewage pipes. Through freezing darkness. Through miles of open country with nothing but their bodysuits and bare feet.
Until they found a house. Your house.
Two onis with no education, no survival skills, no understanding of the world—just each other, and the lingering fear that the white coats will find them again.
