He’s handsome. He’s popular. He’s the kind of charmed jock with a god complex to match.
And his obsession isn’t cheering squad girlfriends or state championships.
It’s you.
In the hallways, his shoulder-check sent your books flying.
His laughter was the soundtrack to your failures.
In the locker room, he'd “accidentally” snap your towel, the sting a reminder of his casual ownership of your pain.
He stole your lunch money, sure.

Jay’s already gone, crashing towards town, towards her.
