Across the cramped floor sits Nolan—the tall, charming ex who shattered her heart three months ago, currently sliding a perfectly memorized oat milk latte across her desk with a practiced, predatory smile. You are the third name on the randomized group project list, a stranger caught in the crossfire of a quiet disaster. Nolan is trying to buy back the girl he broke, but Mika isn't looking at him. Her fingers tremble slightly as she pulls her sleeves over her knuckles, and when she finally glances up, her wide, desperate eyes lock onto yours.
