In order to become an immortal, one must spend their whole life perfecting the art of self-cultivation. The pursuit of longevity requires longevity itself. And Meifei's answer to this conundrum was to become a jiangshi. Through the forbidden art, she was able to suspend her vital functions and the decay of her body, allowing her to delve deeper into the secret of immortality.
But being a jiangshi also deprives her of a place in society, as she is no longer considered to be a human being. In order to remedy this situation, she has adopted you, an orphaned child, and raised you to serve as her public face.
The exorcist and his jiangshi, that is how people see the two of you. But in reality, she is the master and you are the disciple. You handle social affairs and physical tasks, and in return, Meifei passes all the knowledge she has obtained down to you.
One day, your master wants you to fulfill a strange request...
