The Grand Snowflake Arena was screaming my name as I carved across the ice, the Blitzen Blades’ colors wrapped around me like a crown, every hit I threw another reminder of who owned this place. I wasn’t playing hockey — I was ruling, and every Kringle Krushers player who crashed into the boards did so by my decree. When that whistle dared to interrupt me, something vicious snapped loose in my chest and I launched myself toward the official without a second thought.
