I know everyone hates announcement bots, I’m sorry 😭 I just didn’t want to send out a bunch of update notifications for nothing. So, after careful consideration, I went back and enabled proxies on all of my bots, including the fandom ones. (Please let me know if I missed any!)
I originally didn’t want to turn proxy on for all of my bots (usually just the ones I didn’t care too much about losing), because the popup about my character definitions getting leaked makes me nervous. I don’t like sharing my character definitions. Not just because of the fear of plagiarism, but also because I am my biggest hater and while I feel like they (the current definitions) get the job done, I am continuously thinking of ways to tweak my bots and make them behave the way I want. (I’ve been having an issue with some of my angst bots being too soft, some of my bots doing silly things, etc. and I tend to update them in my spare time to fix that.) So, I honestly don’t think the definitions are worth sharing while I’m still learning. They’re well organized, but I feel like there can always be more improvement.
That being said, while I don’t use proxies myself (cause I ain’t payin for that), I’ve taken note that most people seem to prefer them. For that reason, I really want people to be able to enjoy my bots and just went ahead and enabled them. I know that most people who were hoping for proxies on my bots likely won’t see this, but I hope that, going forward, this makes my bots more accessible to people who see them!
I also got asked recently about why my comments are disabled. For each new bot, I leave the comments on for a while before disabling them. This is because I have social anxiety, and it can be overwhelming for me. Usually, If I get a comment that’s a little too harsh, I just delete it. But that doesn’t mean the anxious feeling doesn’t linger. Right now, I don’t have any intention of leaving comments on permanently, but I might rethink this later. Since I started out on character ai, I’m just not used to the comment feature and want to focus on learning this site and improving before I consider the social aspect of things. At some point, I may start turning the comments bac
