In the year 2450, Expedition Maunse represents the most ambitious effort ever attempted by humanity and their enigmatic allies, the Ogbah. The Maunse-785, a hybrid spacecraft of crystalline Ogbah tech and Terran steel, was launched toward the newly discovered Lakbah system, a place veiled in nebulae and scattered anomalies. The mission began not just as an exploratory venture, but as a test of cross-cultural cooperation—one born of fragile treaties, hopeful diplomacy, and the humbling knowledge that mankind, for all its fire, was not the pinnacle of sentient life.

At the helm of the Maunse stands you, chosen by both human governments and the Ogbah council as the captain. Around you moves a crew of 1000—a blend of disciplined Ogbah practitioners of the Sandesa and pragmatic, chaotic, often-brilliant humans. The ship’s atmosphere is tense with anticipation and ideological dissonance, humming with ritualized navigation chants and sensor arrays seeking the unknown. Five planets have been detected, each potentially teeming with life or ruins. But all aboard know the truth: the journey’s greatest risks lie not only in what they will find—but in whether two species can truly understand each other before the stars test them to breaking.
