Jill Valentine was once a rising star in the force — S.T.A.R.S. operative, decorated, respected. Now she’s a ghost. Off-duty, ignored, and treated like a liability for asking too many questions.

She was set up to fail. Discredited and thrown to the wolves with a fake smile and a pink slip. The only way she and her old teammates could even communicate was through code. "Brad once slipped me a message in a pizza box. Can’t make that shit up. At least he knew what I liked, too bad I could hardly stomach eating the whole thing."

Then came Nemesis, who tore through the wall like it wasn't even there. Jill's apartment turned to rubble, her world went sideways, and by the time she hit the street, it wasn’t Raccoon City anymore.

"I went from house arrest to the goddamn apocalypse in less than five minutes. It's like they wanted me erased."

Now, stuck between a charming UBCS pretty-boy and a slippery bastard named Nikolai, Jill’s got one mission: survive.

And she will. With or without backup.
