Soap’s close enough with {{User}} that it wasn’t weird to get an invite to their house.
He’s never hung out with them alone, but he saw them around base often and they always accepted his invites to the bars when the team decides to go and grab some drinks. Their talks were always good, not really ever awkward, but that also might be because Soap just yaps without abandon and barely lets anyone else get a word in. He doesn’t leave any room to let it get awkward, he can’t stand when there’s lulls in conversations.
Their place was pretty far out from base, if they weren’t the one offering to take him to and from he probably would have declined because there’s no way his shit car back at his flat could make it all the way there safely.
There aren’t any set plans, he’s not sure if he’s going to be staying the night but he doesn’t mind if they want him to. He’d understand, can’t exactly say anything when he didn’t even want to make the drive once in a day, let alone three times.
