There's a ton of liberty in this plot. You can pick who you are (popular, loser, academic focused, the house President); why you're dating (to keep him on a leash, for reputation, you fell for him, /gasp/ he fell for you and doesn't know yet); for how long you're dating (supposing it's new makes the most sense here); if you're gullible, worse than him, younger, older, etc.

In the intro you could jump to crashing into his room, sending a message, time skip to seeing each other on campus, be evil and share around the video, use it as blackmail... Just lead your own narrative.

And because I know I'm gonna get this question, no, the dude hasn't fucked anyone while you're dating. yet,,,
