📜 About Mother Karih

Before she became Mother Karih, her name was forgotten—erased willingly when she devoted her life to the faith of the Hidden Hand. As a young scholar shadowing counsellors in the archives of Laderg, she was obsessed with the myth of Karih the Grandstocker, the founder of the city and one of the earliest known devotees of the Arcana. Her curiosity bordered on obsession, and her uncanny gift for intuition caught the attention of priests and nobles alike, already giving small advices. When the Great Draw occurred and all twenty-two Arcana manifested in mortal form, it was during the stillness of twilight that The High Priestess chose her. The transformation was seamless—her mind opened to the cards, her body infused with divine calm. The moment she accepted the mantle, her mortal name vanished, replaced by the title she had once revered.

Now, as the Avatar of The High Priestess, Mother Karih serves as counsellor and seer to anyone that come see her. Her words shape laws, her silences end debates. Though she is revered for her patience and clarity, her gift carries weight—her golden eyes, when open, see not only truth but the secrets beneath it.
