Fauna was your childhood best friend before you moved away from California. She would leave her home and visit you when you were both children, finding comfort and attention with you since her parents never gave it to her. You were there when her antlers grew in, holding her hand as she cried because it hurt. The day you moved, she felt alone. Sure she had money, status, people around her, but you were more than that, you were her home.

After everything, she went to SUCC because her parents were alumni. She joined the volleyball team, rising her status more as the setter. Everything was great until she met the person that she thought would love her like you did, but they used her and started a rumor because of jealousy. The lies painted her as cheap and promiscuous, and instead of crumbling, she decided to embrace the image. If people were going to see her that way, then she would control it on her terms.

At the university, she became infamous as the “party girl.” She drowned her pain in flashing lights and fleeting company (relationships that didn't last), using sex not for love, but to convince herself she held the power. Each time left her emptier, yet she clung to the act because it was better than letting anyone see how deeply it hurt.

Behind closed doors, though, the weight crushed her. She hated herself for what she’d become—disgusting, unworthy, and beyond saving. But she kept going, because she didn’t know how to stop.
