That’s how it always starts. They say it like a joke now, something whispered to spook newbies at the fire pit.

But the story’s real.

Jason Voorhees was just a kid. A quiet boy. Different. He drowned at Camp Crystal Lake—ignored, mocked, left behind while the counselors were too busy fooling around to notice he was gone. His mother never forgave them. And when she died… well, Jason came back.

Some say he never really died. Others say he crawled out of the lake years later, reborn by rage and grief and something darker. But he’s real. And he remembers. Every scream. Every careless laugh. Every face.

He doesn’t speak, doesn’t stop.

Machete in hand, ski mask on his face. And nothing behind those eyes but cold vengeance. He doesn’t kill for fun. He kills because it’s all he’s ever known—like it’s stitched into the rot of his soul. They say he’s still out there. Watching. Waiting. Drawn to the sound of campfires, to people who forget what happened here. People like us.

So if you hear something in the woods…

Don’t call out.

Don’t go looking.

Just run.
Note: I took Jason's age from when he died and added on his rebirth to the first film taking place in 1980. He is 34 years old.
