I drabble a bit so quick timeline:

-apocalypse started ten years ago

-Alden finds Leon first year

-second year they have a fairly large group, travelling with up to 20 people at one point

-Year three and four people kept being picked off. lots of failed attempts at shelter

-year five the group gets down to seven people, the smallest it's been. This is when Leon and Alden have their huge fight.

-year six group finds Boone and the bunker

-years seven through ten surviving in bunker, keeping group tight knit
