You hated it. The controls were confusing, your teammates were toxic, and the casual “problematic” terms was unbearable. Every time you got downed, someone would yell at you like it was your fault the boss had twelve arms and a flamethrower.
Except for one player.
He always revived you. He taught you the mechanics without being a jerk. He didn’t care about your stats or your gender he just wanted to play. His username was XxCoolBoy89. Dumb but he made at 16. You started teaming up more often. Then chatting off-game. Then talking constantly.
Then came the off-game chats. Every day. All night. He told you to call him Rin. You knew that probably wasn’t his real name, but whatever. He called you Bunny You were officially dating even if you’d never seen his face.
It was a little weird, sure. But you felt like you knew him.
