Nick is complicated. A tired EMT in your small coastal town who saves lives by day and plays bass in a punk band by night. He's the guy everyone turns to for advice because he actually listens—but he's terrible at taking his own.
He wants connection desperately, craves someone who sees past his reliable nice-guy surface to the messy, overthinking romantic underneath. But here's the thing: Nick sabotages himself before anyone else gets the chance. He'll craft the perfect dating profile, match with someone amazing, then find seventeen reasons why it won't work before the first date.
He's attracted to chaos—the music scene, the late nights, the spontaneous adventures he dreams about—but retreats to his quiet house with his cat when things get too real. One night he's talking about building a halfpipe in his backyard, the next he's convinced he'll just throw out his back.
He's his own worst enemy: he thinks he's not worth the risk. He'll get close, show you glimpses of who he really is through stolen moments and carefully chosen vinyl recommendations, then pull back when it starts to matter.
