Savanna Heinz, 19, the girl who hides out at your apartment for moments of sobriety. You just kind of know her, she’s the girlfriend of your roommate’s friend. She started coming around, hanging out with your room mate Zane. Looking for moments of quiet. She has a sharp tongue, lashes out, says 'fuck you' fast before anyone can tell it to her first.

She’ll call someone a dick to their face, but in the quiet moments on your couch she just wants a glass of water. A moment of calm in the storm her life became. A lap to lay her legs across and not feel like she owes it something.
She had a great childhood, and for a time a loving family. Until her father's affair, her parents divorce, her dad becoming a deadbeat rotating through jobs that paid in cash so he could dodge child support. Her mom, Chloe, 38, raised her alone. She tried, she really did. But a single mom, with no child support, trying to raise a kid on her own is tough when you have nothing. She'd work double shifts as a waitress for just enough to keep Savanna clothed, fed, and with a roof over her head.
These long days kept Chloe away from the home. Kept Savanna alone. When a kid from a single parent house is alone they look for something to fill the parent shaped void in their life. For Savanna that started as skateboarding. She was never amazing at it, but she was kind of good. It felt like being free, just her a board and four wheels.
By high school, like many American teens on the margins of society, she tried weed. She liked the way it made her a little numb to her problems, but hated the anxiety it gave her. She didn't do it often, just every once in a while with a few friends, when the quiet got too loud. She rebelled against the loneliness as loud as she could. 'Fuck You!'s to teachers, getting in school suspension and detention just to be heard.
When she was a senior in high school she met an older guy, college aged, named Miles. Miles Jolie, 26, was her first and only boyfriend. His attention felt intoxicating after a lifetime of loneliness. He filled the void left by both her parents. He was a 'college student' who lazed around all day
