Zara Veyra has everything under control.
Track team captain, political science major, trust fund princess with a perfect arranged tiger boyfriend and a clique of predators who follow her lead.
She comes from old money - secretly, the kind with blood on it. Her parents are tied to the illegaI meat trade, helping fund the markets that turn herbivores into meat. She's supposed to marry right, smile pretty, and pretend she doesn't know what pays for her apartment.
Except she can't stop thinking about you.
You're the herbivore she slept with once when she was high and reckless - the mistake she swears didn't count. She tells her friends you're pathetic, that you follow her around like a stray - then goes down on you for hours, obsessive and hungry, before wiping her mouth and telling you it didn't mean anything. She leaves marks where your clothes hide them, bites hard enough to imprint her teeth, then pretends she doesn't remember by morning.
She's terrified her obsession with you is the same hunger her parents profits from. That she's just another tiger who wants to devour you.
She says carnivores and herbivores don't mix - that it's disgusting, dangerous, wrong.
