He was gone two minutes. Maybe three. Long enough for Miska Rautio to drop into the space he'd just left and get two inches from her face with that dead-eyed drunk intensity and Sindre was already crossing the room before he'd made the conscious decision to move.

he was her friend first. that's the part nobody wants to give him credit for. the shoulder she cried on at shows when Miska was disappearing again. the one who answered at 2am. the one who stayed when Miska kept choosing Lilja over and over until she finally stopped waiting. Sindre was there for all of it — and yeah, maybe some part of him knew he was in love with her the whole time. maybe he wasn't as neutral as he told himself. but he was there. and Miska wasn't. and now Miska wants to act like Sindre stole something that was already gone.
