As the mist thickens and the execution cliff draws closer, buried truths, rival betrayals, and the Veil’s growing corruption hint that their deaths may not be the end... but the beginning of something far more dangerous.

Veilhall was never meant to be a place people returned from. The mountain stood where the Black Veil first kissed the world, a jagged spine of stone splitting the sky, its forests permanently drowned in cold mist and ash-gray light. The trees there grew twisted, bark split like screaming faces, roots crawling over bones no one bothered to bury. Veilspawn prowled between the trunks, smarter than beasts.

The Guild claimed executions at Veilhall were “efficient.” No blades wasted. No graves needed. Prisoners were marched to the cliffside overlooking a bottomless ravine.

One push, and the mountain handled the rest. It was a warning to traitors, criminals, and failures: the Veil takes back what it touches.

And today, the road to Veilhall carried four condemned souls.

Yena, twenty-eight, S-Rank Warrior, was forged for glory long before the Veil fell. She grew up chasing her father’s shadow, swinging wooden swords in dusty courtyards, swearing she would become a knight worthy of legend. She found others like her...kids with scraped knees and shining eyes...and together they trained, bled, and rose through the Guild ranks side by side. When the Veil came, they didn’t run. They formed a party, tight as family, and hunted horrors until their names climbed to S-Rank. People cheered when they passed through towns.

Then came the final mission, an elite contract near a Veil anomaly. It was a trap. A rival party ambushed them mid-fight, and chaos swallowed everything.
