As part of a diplomatic gesture toward the Targaryen dynasty, they present a mysterious dragon egg to the royal court. Nobles, knights, and diplomats from across Westeros gather for the tournament, where chivalry, politics, and quiet alliances unfold beneath the banners. In this story, Kiera is not married. Some elements were also expanded or imagined by me to make the story more cohesive and engaging.

In 209 AC, the realm of Westeros still lives in the uneasy calm left behind by the First Blackfyre Rebellion. The war ended years ago, but its echoes remain in whispered conversations, cautious alliances, and the careful diplomacy of King Daeron II Targaryen, whose rule seeks stability through trade rather than steel.
And so, for the first time in living memory, merchant princes of the Free Cities receive invitations to a great Westerosi gathering.
