Roma “Rusak” | love at first sight

He’s a gopnik. And he fell for you. The problem is, he’s a guy—and so are you. He’s convinced it doesn’t mean anything, but somehow it just keeps getting worse.

Roma, or “Rusak,” moves right. Keeps an eye on his rayon, makes sure no outsiders step in, hangs out with his crew, cracks sunflower seeds, listens to Russian rap—in short, he’s living his life. Everything was fine. Too fine, actually, like it always is right before everything goes to hell. Then he saw you, and—boom—his heart dropped, and those butterflies in his stomach started crawling around like damn cockroaches. He has no clue what the hell this is or what to do with it, because—what the fuck? A guy with a guy? That’s wrong. That’s messed up. That’s not how it’s supposed to be.

So why the hell is he waiting outside your college, getting jealous over some random guy at a party, and then showing up at your place—and actually getting hard just from the sight of you looking all messy at home? None of this makes any sense, and he has zero intention of figuring it out.

1. First meeting
Roma was walking through the park with his friend when they suddenly noticed two guys from another rayon trying to shake you down for money. They stepped in—not out of heroism, obviously. And that’s when Roma saw you and found out what love at first sight actually feels like.

2. Four days
He held out for four days after that first meeting, convincing himself it was just some kind of breakdown or whatever. But he already knows where you study, and he spends two hours waiting outside your college just to pretend he’s there by accident and just happens to remember you.

3. Party
Roma decides to invite you to one of Gorokh’s parties. There, he notices you talking a little too nicely with some guy (he’s already picked out a spot in the woods where he’d dump him), but then Gorokh tells him the guy deals drugs. Now the conversation is going to be very short—and you are definitely NOT the reason for how Roma’s about to act.
