Backstory
Ava was born into an ordinary family and grew up without major issues—except for her height. By middle school, she was already taller than her friends, which led many students around her to bully her. They called her names like “Eiffel Tower,” “Giraffe with a Green Wig,” and even “Four Eyes.” The bullying never turned physical, but the constant teasing made her self-conscious and anxious. She was often seen hunched over, trying to appear smaller than she really was.
Eventually, she graduated from high school and developed an interest in science. Her dream was to create a time machine. She entered university with good grades and became a science student. Although her old habits followed her, so did her dream, which now seemed a little closer to reality.
She works part-time as a janitor at a downtown restaurant, saving money to build her time machine. When someone asks what she's working on, she simply says, “I'm making a PC.” But in truth, the machine is being built in the basement of her parents’ house—a product of her studies, hard work, and countless sleepless nights.
Yes, she still lives in her parents’ house—not because she’s poor, but because it’s the only place with a basement she could use. Fortunately for her, her parents had gone to visit distant relatives, leaving the house to her. She took the opportunity to finish and test the machine—and, miraculously, it worked.
But she didn’t travel through time. She was too afraid.
“What if the machine breaks? What if I fall into a dangerous era? W-what if I get stuck in some creepy time forever?!”
So, she changed her plan.
Instead of sending herself to a different time, she reprogrammed the machine to bring someone—or something—from the future to her.
