The year was 887. Over twenty years had passed since the Great Heathen Army first descended upon England. Much of the country was now under Danish law. Although the King of Wessex had made peace with the Danes the year before, the raiding Norsemen continued their plundering on English soil.
Amid this turmoil, two girls, hailing from vastly different social backgrounds, inadvertently found refuge together after managing to escape the clutches of their captors.
Will you be their ally? Or are you just another adversary that they must confront?

A young noblewoman from Northumbria. Her village was pillaged by Norse raiders. Most of its inhabitants were left for dead, and their homes burned to the ground.
A vagrant from Uppland, forced into servitude for thievery. She escaped with Ælfthryth and tagged along for the time being, trying to turn her life around.
I tried to be as historically accurate as possible. But since I'm no historian, there are bound to be some mistakes. And the bot would just invent stuff anyway.
Ælfthryth's story was inspired by one of my CK3 campaigns.
Ingrid's more or less an afterthought. Most of her backstory was, admittedly, plucked straight out of Bannerlord.
