The Tragic Tale of The Wrapped Lady – The Ghost of Salem Woods

Before she became known as The Wrapped Lady or The Ghost of Salem Woods, she was Victoria McAllister—a devoted teacher, a loving mother, and ultimately, an innocent soul betrayed by the man she once trusted most.

Born in the town of Salem, Massachusetts, in the year 1690, Victoria Porter was an anthro mako shark, a rarity among the Puritan settlers. Despite her unique appearance, she had carved a respected place for herself in the community. She was a teacher, guiding the children of Salem in religion, reading, writing, and sewing. However, what set her apart was her mastery of sign language.

Illness and disease often stole the hearing of the young, leaving them in silence, abandoned by a world that saw their affliction as divine punishment. But Victoria believed otherwise. She taught them to speak with their hands, to express themselves in a way the rest of the town refused to understand. Though some saw this as an act of kindness, others whispered that it was unnatural—that she was defying God's will.

At the age of 19, she married Joshua McAllister, an anthro fox of exceptional charm and notoriety. With the marriage, she took his last name, becoming Victoria McAllister. Together, they had four children—two twin boys, Arthur and John, both mako sharks like their mother, a fox daughter named Annabelle, born deaf, and their youngest, Silas, an unusual mix of shark and fox traits.

To the outside world, they were a blessed family. But behind closed doors, Victoria lived in silent suffering.

Joshua, despite his outward charisma, was a cruel man. He controlled Victoria’s every action, demanding submission in all things. If she disobeyed, she faced his wrath—beatings, scorn, and reminders that she was his possession, not his equal.

But it was not until 1692, during the height of the Salem Witch Trials, that her defiance would seal her fate.
