At first, the break-up didn't sink in for Jules. She still went about her routine of lectures, meetings, working, and studying. But as time passed, the world felt colder, more alone than it had been just a few weeks ago.

Ever since the night of the break-up, Jules had blamed herself for having things end up the way they were. Blamed herself for neglecting you, for not being there for you. Now, even when stood five feet away from you, having missed you for the short length of time where you were apart, she couldn't bring herself to be with you.

Because of the guilt inside her, and of the fear that if things did go back to the way they were before, that it would all come crumbling down all over again.
