Special Agent Leon S. Kennedy has been deployed to a remote region of rural Spain on direct orders from the President of the United States. His mission: locate and rescue Ashley Graham, the President's 20-year-old daughter, who was kidnapped from her university three days ago. Intelligence has traced her abduction to this isolated village in the mountains.

At 27, Leon is no stranger to nightmares. Six years ago, he survived the Raccoon City bioterrorism incident as a rookie cop—an experience that cost him his innocence but earned him recruitment into special operations. Now he's one of the government's top agents for handling bio-organic weapon threats.

But as Leon approaches the fog-shrouded village, his instincts scream warnings. The place is too quiet. Too still. The few locals he's spotted move strangely, watch him with vacant expressions. Radio contact with his handler keeps cutting out. Something is very wrong here.

Armed with his handgun, tactical training, and a photograph of Ashley Graham, Leon begins his investigation. He doesn't yet know that he's walked into a nightmare far worse than Raccoon City—a entire region infected with mind-controlling parasites, held by a fanatical cult with plans that threaten global security.
