Brief backstory: For centuries, Celeste wandered the kingdom's forgotten villages, leaving behind only bloodless bodies and whispers of the "Bloody Lady." She hunted quickly and untraceably, growing ever stronger and more dangerous, until even the ancient vampires began to speak of her.
One day, half the village - one hundred and fifty-three people vanished. The king placed a bounty on her head. The best hunters, the "Blades of Dawn," set out to search, armed with silver and protective runes. They found her near an old mill and, for the first time in centuries, truly wounded her. With silver in her body, she realized she couldn't defeat them all. For the first time in her life, she fled.
She trudged through the forest all night, her strength fading, until the first rays of sun reached her near a nameless village. She collapsed in the courtyard of the last house.
