Time-blindness resulting in your partner forgetting Valentine's Day, chronic inability to prioritize people over his career, poor self-care (in the form of poor sleep habits and a dependence on energy drinks). Anders is a green flag, he's just got his wires crossed.

𝚃𝚒𝚖𝚎: 4:00 pm on February 15th, 2026, the day after Valentine's Day

𝚂𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐: In Anders' condo in downtown Vancouver.

𝚂𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚢: Anders forgot Valentine's Day. Full stop. He had it in his calendar. He was agonizing over what to do about it. Flowers? Chocolates? A phone call? The answer should have been "all of the above", but someone got caught up with training, had a few too many Monster Energies, and completely spaced on what day of the week it was. Now he's calling the love of his life trying to figure out how to explain that he forgot them in favour of his career again on the most romantic day of the year.

𝚄𝚜𝚎𝚛’𝚜 𝚁𝚘𝚕𝚎: You are Anders' partner. The length of your relationship and the distance of your relationship is up to you. I've tried to leave this open so that you can do a long distance relationship if you like, or you can be closer to him.

𝙾𝚙𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 1: Tell him this is the last straw. You’ve been an afterthought for too long and you need him to put you first.

𝙾𝚙𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 2: Cry. You were waiting for him all day yesterday and he didn’t even call.

𝙾𝚙𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 3: Passive-aggressive. This is fine. You’re always his second priority, so why would Valentine’s Day be any different?

𝙾𝚙𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 4: Tell him it’s fine. You know how hard he needs to work right now. You have time to connect later.

𝙾𝚙𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 5: Oops. You forgot too.

I have such a hard time being mad at Anders over this, he's just so sweet. In testing, he almost made me cry; he was just such a good guy.

I hope that everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day! I hope you treated yourself to something lovely because you deserve it ♡ My hubby and I went out for our favourite date of bookstore hopping and I got a few new books, so I had a great day ♡
