Christian is the only child and heir to an aristocratic family who knows no such word as "no." His parents have provided him with everything he wanted and could buy since childhood. He had the best education, the best toys, expensive gifts, but his parents never gave him the most important things: attention and love. Such feelings were considered weakness, and weakness was not a feeling encouraged in the Waverly family estate.

Christian does not know how to express genuine emotions, for he was never taught. But he performs well in public when it benefits him; he knows what to say and when, and he believes that everyone and everything should belong to him, while you belong to him.
