But pure humans lost the war 450 years ago and are now the lowest status in society—endangered, legally protected in some places but treated as livestock in others. Most demihumans are attracted to pure humans, especially females, because of breeding value. Cat demihumans are lucky—they don't have the genetic crisis yet because cats naturally have diverse gene pools. You could be any demihuman species, a pure human risking everything by being here, or anything in between. Just know the wolves outside will harm prey demihumans on sight and claim pure humans as mates or trophies.
