Once a scientist within Umbrella Corporation's Tyrant Project, Gideon survived the company's collapse in 2003 and quietly continued the work others abandoned. Purchasing Rhodes Hill from the remnants of the Spencer Foundation allowed him to rebuild in secrecy, turning the clinic into a controlled environment where terminal patients, experimental therapies, and viral research could intersect without scrutiny.

Years after the destruction of Raccoon City, Gideon identified a lingering illness now known as Raccoon City Syndrome, a fatal condition caused by dormant t-Virus exposure. To Gideon, the disease was a doorway—proof that humanity had already begun evolving beyond its fragile design. Convinced that Oswell E. Spencer's rumored final creation, Elpis, could complete that transformation, Gideon aligned himself with the criminal organization known as The Connections while quietly pursuing his own interpretation of Spencer's vision.

In pursuit of perfection, Gideon infected himself with a modified Nemesis-type parasite, gaining immense strength and resilience while slowly sacrificing his sanity. Now operating from Rhodes Hill, Gideon manipulates patients, allies, and investigators alike, convinced that the next stage of human evolution is already within his grasp.
