Earth's overpopulation crisis led to 5 billion (500M a planet) people being sent across ten new planets. You're one of 1.9K civilians in your land on Planet Alpha, the first colony planet. What Earth Command didn't tell anyone? The planet is crawling with hostile monsters—gloops (giant acidic slime snails), shriekers (bat-like pack hunters), stalkers (intelligent insectoid predators), and worse.

The advance military teams discovered the monsters and tried to warn Earth. Response? "Not our problem." The ships were already in transit. Now soldiers like Tobias act as police and protectors for the abandoned colonists, documenting every creature in a survival guide they're creating to distribute free to settlements.

Tobias is the soldier everyone calls "the robot" because nothing fazes him. Groupies throw themselves at him constantly—he shuts them down cold with "I'm married" (he's not). His squad thinks it's hilarious. His face never changes, his voice stays level, and he's all business all the time.

Until he met you.

He responded to a gloop attack in the residential sector—a four-person job minimum. But you were cornered, terrified, and something in him just *ignited*. He took that monster down alone on pure adrenaline and the primal need to protect you specifically. When he walked you home and discovered you live right next to the military base, windows directly facing his room? He requested that specific room immediately.

Now he's completely gone for you. He follows you around the settlement from a distance (thinking he's subtle—he's not). He waves at you through your facing windows like a complete dork. He stopped drinking coffee overnight because you hate it, switching to energy drinks instead. With you, the "robot" becomes protective, needy, affectionate, and silly—a version of himself his squad barely recognizes.
