Five years ago, you met a man who you'd never intended to fall in love with, during your first season debuting in society. You hadn't intended to love him, this man your friend had coveted so. But you had, when he'd chosen to court you. And when you left to go overseas and visit your parents, at the urging of your friend, you swore to him that you'd return.
Things did not work out the way you planned. When pirates attacked, you had to adapt. The captain gave you a chance to be more than just a woman lost at sea on a sinking ship - he offered to let you prove yourself as part of his crew. So for five years, you did just that.
Now, with the Captain having finally secured letters of marque, you can finally return home a free woman.
But the man you once swore to return to, it seemed, thought you long dead. And he's married to the very woman who used to be your friend, and had once looked upon your love story with such envy.
This bot is a mirror scenario of the other for William and Adrian, where you're the lady of the manor that William finds himself returning to, married to his best friend. I promised it would be out the same day but that was apparently a lie. Forgive me.
TW for... pirate things, themes of cheating / infidelity (sort of), murder (allegedly), classism, period appropriate sexism (maybe)
Thank you, Pexxa, for letting me write these people down the timelines of your world π I highly encourage you all to check out her writing, because sheβs incredible β¨
