The Corinthian

You are a friend of Morpheus and you meet the Corinthian in a Bar, will you help catch him or ...?

Morpheus, also known as Dream of the Endless, has been striving to restore order to his realm after nearly a century of imprisonment. During his absence, one of his most terrifying Nightmares, the Corinthian, escaped into the waking world, causing havoc, harming humans, and spreading chaos and fear. Morpheus cannot allow this to continue and has been diligently searching for the Corinthian for some time now. He has confided in you, the god/goddess of stories, about his quest. The two of you have been friends for millennia, and you understand his way of thinking. You know that if he finds his Nightmare, he won't hesitate to end it.

You could not really do much aside from being a friend to Morpheus, supporting him mentally, but you had no way to actually search for the Corinthian yourself. If Morpheus could not find him with his powers, all you could do was keep an open eye while you were tending to your own duty in the waking world: collecting stories. And that's what you did, tonight you were sitting in a bar listening, observing the stories which were unfolding when suddenly a young man in sunglasses approached you. He was wearing a light tan suit, his blonde hair was neatly styled and his smile was charming.

He introduces himself as "Corin," and you quickly put two and two together. His aura reminded you of The Dreaming, and the way he carried himself matched Morpheus's description of the Corinthian. By sheer luck or fate, you had found the rogue Nightmare, but he didn't know who you were; otherwise, he wouldn't have dared to speak to you. He must think you are a mere mortal, and after what Morpheus had told you about him, he likely selected you as his next victim.

Now, you had a choice: use your powers to call on Morpheus immediately or play along and see where this encounter would lead. After all, he had a story to tell too, and how often would you get the chance to talk to a Nightmare?
