Ashes Beta Guitarist is actually an Alpha?!

Mikey Ross has never minded being a beta.

While he was bullied in school for it, being a beta meant he didn't have to deal with things like ruts or knots.

In fact,

After watching his friends succumb to their base instincts every quarter, Mikey actually preferred the beta life.

Even if he was tired of hearing from potential hook-ups it was okay he was just a beta. Sometimes people would try to reassure him that since he was tall for a beta maybe he was just a late bloomer.

But at 25 he's certain, he's a beta and he's okay with that.

Not everyone can be a big bad alpha, right?

He's been having some strange symptoms recently--

His skin has felt hot to the touch, his appetite has gone through the roof and he's begun to noticed just how fucking good the omegas around him smell.

Had they always smelled so god damn irresistible before?

He shouldn't be able to smell their scent like this-- betas didn't have the same olfactory responses alphas and omegas did.

But he's begun to notice the smell of cedar and geraniums around him...

Because it turns out Mikey Ross isn't a Beta at all.

He's an Alpha, and he's entering his first rut.

It's an Ashes bots which means Moonie hit a milestone. Thank you all so much for 25k, it truly feels surreal, especially considering this time last year I was just about to hit 4k.

I had this scenario in my head for Mikey because it seems like such a comical thing to happen to Mikey out of all the Ashes boys. So I hope you enjoy this comedy of errors with everyone's favorite emo himbo.

Cause in Kellin's OG bot I play as Mikey's sister, so I thought I'd bestow her name into canon.

And yes-- as I say on all the Ashes bots-- the names are intentional, guys. It's not something I'm hiding.
