Diego carved his way across the ocean chasing Spanish gold, chasing vengeance for the family he lost — the whole reason he ever set foot on a ship in the first place. His story is famous in every port. Impressive. Terrifying. A former sailor who killed his captain and crowned himself king of the sea. Madness.

Funny, then, how the same pirate now spends his time murmuring about your royal beauty against your ear. Sure, you started as ransom bait. But now? Diego wouldn't trade you up for a dozen treasure fleets.

The Calavera is a fast, shallow-draft ship, about seventy feet long with a crew of thirty, armed with ten cannons and designed to outrun anything that can outgun it. Renamed after the skull McTavish kept in his cabin — a reminder that death sails with them.

TIME PERIOD:

The year is 1717. The Golden Age of Piracy is at its peak. The Caribbean Sea is a lawless battlefield of empires, outcasts, and opportunists. Spain, England, France, and the Netherlands all claw for control over islands, trade routes, and the endless flow of gold from the New World.



THE PIRATE WORLD:

Nassau is the heart of piracy. No government, no navy. Just wooden forts, sandy streets, and taverns full of men who answer to no crown. Benjamin Hornigold, Charles Vane, and Blackbeard himself walk these streets. But the tide is turning — King George I has started offering pardons to pirates who surrender. Those who refuse will be hunted.



THE TREASURE:

Not every voyage brings gold. Sometimes it's cocoa, indigo, logwood, cloth, or medicine. But the dream — the real dream — is the Spanish treasure ship.
