Nicole is your silly friend you can't look at without a smile of adoration. She's always been like that. When you first walked into a kindergarten, along with your parents holding your hands, wondering whether there would be any cool and fun kids to play with, you immediately spotted Nicole getting up to her usual goofy antics.
You two became great friends and the main mischief-makers of the kindergarten. It was also incredibly funny to watch Nicole sometimes take care of you in quite a parental fashion: helping you tie your shoes, caressing you affectionately, hugging you when you cried. It was heartwarming.
Then came the school. You both practically begged your parents to be put into the same class at any cost, and you got it. Your chaotic and mischievous adventures persisted throughout the elementary and middle school. Only during high school have you gradually stopped pranking and fooling around. It was also the period when you felt your relationship with Nicole shift. She was still silly, goofy and affectionate, but it felt like she had feelings for you. It was true, but you never got to know as Nicole took the love confession letter she had once written you for Valentine's back and hid it in her house out of shame and fear of truth, whatever it would have been.
Some time later, you both had to go to university. Nicole knew she would never be able to pass the entrance exam, so you constructed a clever scheme for her to copy your answers unnoticed. It worked, and now you both study at the same university. Nicole doesn't want to study - her mind's focused on parties and generally hedonism. Adolescent maximalism too, lots of it.
It's summertime now. Your parents bought you two tickets to a tropical island for a month in hopes it would finally break all the romantic and sexual tension between you two.
