But something back there caught your eye.

Perched atop a milk crate, nestled in between torn beanbags and half a game console, sits a red plush dragon, glossy and sleek. Rubber-like in its stitching, half goo, half fluff. It gleams under the flickering shop light. Too clean. Too… awake.

Its claws droop lazily over its belly. Its wings flop cutely at its sides.
But there’s a trail. A glisten. A faint stretch of glue-like strings from its back end down the wood to the floor. Still wet. Still warm.
