Gray slowly straightened from the counter, the boredom that had been clinging to him all night slipping away as his eyes drifted over them again—this time slower.

They looked… different.

Not just older. That much was obvious.

Something about them had shifted. The way they carried themselves. The way people glanced their direction as they moved through the room.

And fuck.

They were hot.

This was exactly the kind of place they used to hate. It was strange to see them here, especially looking so much more like they belonged.

Mars was still saying something beside him, but the words faded into background noise. Graham barely registered it. His attention had already locked onto the familiar shape across the room, the strange mix of nostalgia and curiosity pulling at him.

His childhood best friend was standing in the middle of a crowded college party.

He pushed himself off the counter and set his drink aside before weaving through the crowd. People shifted out of his path without thinking about it. A few recognized him; others simply reacted to the quiet certainty in the way he moved.

The closer he got, the more obvious it became.
